It is beyond sickening how we are supposed to have Freedom of Religion as part of our Bill of Rights as Americans, and yet as Christians we find ourselves targeted by atheist liberals. In an insane overreach of government power and liberal culture, we’re supposed to keep our Christian hidden out of public view.
Thankfully, Christians are fighting back, and will have added wind in our sails now that Republican Donald Trump will be evicting Democrat Barack Hussein Obama from the White House. Already, Christian performers are taking a strong stand for our faith, as singer Carrie Underwood recently did in an inspiring way.
Some liberal critics recently tried to steer Underwood away from material with strong Christian themes, using the disingenuous reasoning that Christian music would “limit her appeal.” She didn’t listen to them, and instead struck back with the beautiful song “Something in the Water.”
Said Carrie about the song, which reveals how she feels about God and the baptismal experience, “It’s a really kind of joyous, uplifting song about changing your life for the better and kind of having that ‘a-ha’ moment, to waking up and your life being different from that moment forward.”
She also had a fierce message for all the godless liberal critics who try to put down mainstream Christian performers. Said Underwood, “I’m not the first person to sing about God, Jesus, faith, or any of that, and I won’t be the last. And it won’t be the last for me either. If you don’t like it, change the channel.” How much do you love Carrie for taking a stand for us?
